In campaigns you can configure in which categories which ranking group is to be displayed. Define different rules that say in which category which ranking group should be listed.
For example, if you sell T-shirts and technical products, it is advisable to define different ranking groups and to present them separately in a campaign according to category. It is also advisable to create a general ranking group that is not too product-specific. This can be saved in the campaign as a standard ranking group. The standard ranking group is presented if none of the rules apply or if the applicable rule does not deliver any products.
To create a campaign, navigate to the dynamic product recommendations dashboard and click on "Campaigns". Then click on "Create campaign".
Now you can customise the campaign according to your needs. Enter a name for the campaign, set the campaign to active mode and select a standard ranking group.
Next, add a rule. To do this, select at least one category and one ranking group. The ranking group will be shown in the selected categories and in the respective subcategories, unless a separate rule has been defined for them.
If required, you can also add time-controlled ranking groups.
Once all rules have been created and configured, click on "Create" and then add them to one of the "Dynamic product recommendations" Shopping Experience blocks.
It is possible to set up time-controlled ranking groups. This means that a different ranking group is displayed for a defined period of time.
You want to make different product recommendations in the run-up to Christmas than you normally do.
You want to make different product recommendations in a special-offer-week than you normally do.
Go to one of the rules you have set up and click on the button "Add time control". After that you will find a new field in which you can select the start, the end, and the ranking group to be displayed in the respective time frame.
