Enable Customers to Select an Affiliate When Placing an Order

When this setting is activated, the customer can choose which affiliate should receive the commission for the order. This is suitable, for example, if you want to use the affiliate system to give your customers the opportunity to make a donation with their order to an organisation of their choice. As soon as somebody has been promoted by an affiliate code, that person will automatically be pre-entered in the selection. In any case, they can change and select the affiliate who is to receive the commission.

Prioritise Permanent Affiliate instead of Affiliate Choice

If a permanent affiliate has already been registered for a customer (this can be done in the default settings), the selection of an affiliate is ignored. In this case, the permanent affiliate will always receive the commission.

Field for Affiliate Choice

Here you define from which affiliate attributes the customer may choose to select their affiliate when completing the order. In case the respective attribute has not been defined for an affiliate, the affiliate code is used as a fallback. Possible attribute options are:

• Affiliate code

• First and last name

• Company

Allow Affiliates to Place Orders with Their Own Affiliate Code

When this option is activated, the affiliate will be able to receive a commission if they place an order using their own affiliate code. By default, this setting is deactivated.
