# Lifetime Affiliates

#### The first affiliate who has acquired a customer should permanently receive the provision for each order

If this option is enabled, a customer's provision/commission will be permanently linked to the respective affiliate after a referred order. For example, if a customer orders something after arriving at the online store via an affiliate link, the referring affiliate will also receive a commission for all further orders placed by that customer. Please note that permanent affiliates are only recognized after this option has been activated. Permanent affiliates can also be manually set, changed, or removed for each customer in the shop's administration area.

#### Limit the assignment of the permanent affiliate in time

With this and the following configurations, you can ensure that the assignment of permanent affiliates ends after a specified number of days. The number of days can be defined in the following configuration.

#### Start of duration

This determines when the days for the time limit are counted from. Possible values are:

* **Assignment of the affiliate**\
  \&#xNAN;*Counts the days from the setting of the permanent affiliate*
* **First advertised order**\
  \&#xNAN;*Counts the days from the customer's first order after they were advertised*

#### Duration of provision allocations from permanent affiliates

This configuration defines how many days a permanent affiliate receives provisions from a customer.
